Reproductive services like prenatal care are a huge part of what we offer at Southern California Medical Center.
The health and safety of mothers and their babies depends on having access to prenatal care.
Traveling to visit many different doctors can be difficult. That’s why we have the technology on-site to help all of our patients receive the services they need.
At our comprehensive health centers, we provide ultrasounds for uninsured mothers. Ultrasounds allow you to see your baby growing. They help us check the baby’s breathing, heart rate, muscle movement, and development. Ultrasounds can also track the health of the amniotic fluid and the baby’s size.
To keep you and the baby as healthy as possible, we also offer nutritional guidance. We can provide the supplements you need during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
As part of our comprehensive health care services, we provide access to contraceptives at no cost as well as pregnancy tests.
You can also receive regular STD testing. If you have a sexually transmitted disease or infection, we offer the treatment you need.
At Southern California Medical Center, we are as concerned about your mental well-being as we are about your physical health. That is especially true for women going through a pregnancy.
We are a community-based healthcare clinic that provides primary care and preventive care services to all, regardless of ability to pay and without regard to insurance status. We provide services for people in Pomona, Van Nuys, Long Beach, El Monte, Pico Rivera, and Woodland Hills who do not have health insurance. If you need comprehensive medical care, we can help.
In addition to pregnancy care, we offer well woman care including annual check-ups and in-office mammograms, primary medical care, orthopedics, and physical therapy. We can also provide vision care, dental care, mental health care, and pediatric care. You do not have to worry about the cost of transportation to your appointments. We offer free transport to our centers as well.
Because we know managing a family and a job takes up a lot of time, we also make it possible for you to see specialists at our locations. You can see them on the same day as your other health appointments.
At Southern California Medical Center, we provide women’s health care services to those who do not have insurance.
Our locations in Pomona, Van Nuys, Long Beach, El Monte, and Pico Rivera offer:
- Well-woman checkups
- In-office mammograms
- Contraceptives
- Cervical cancer screenings
- Pregnancy tests
- STD testing and treatment
- Psychosocial counseling
- Nutritionist and health education on-site
Well-woman checkups are important for women to have at least once a year. These checkups allow us to screen for health problems, especially those that affect women. We also ensure that you receive the vaccinations you need to prevent diseases.
During your checkup, we can help you set health goals. We will also document your health history. You can get the education you need to make informed health decisions as well.
Cervical cancer screenings are one of the most important services we offer for women. You have the best chance of getting effective treatment for cervical cancer when it is caught early. That is what a screening test can do. Sometimes, cervical cancer screenings can prevent cancer from developing. This is because they can find abnormal cells. We also perform breast cancer exams at our centers and in-office mammograms using the latest technology.
STD testing and treatment is another important women’s health care service we offer. Sexually transmitted diseases can impact your health, including your reproductive health. Many STDs cause infertility if they do not receive treatment.
At Southern California Medical Center, we provide tests and treatment for all STDs. With us, you can get the help you need as quickly as possible.
At our clinics, we also offer psychosocial counseling to help women manage stress in healthy ways. We teach techniques to help you cope with stress. There are family therapy and group therapy sessions available, too.
We also offer nutrition guidance and health education to help women stay healthy. All of these services are on-site.
Southern California Medical Center offers many health care services besides those for women. We provide vision and dental care, physical therapy, and orthopedics. We can also offer mental health care, pediatric care, and pregnancy care.
Because we have specialists on-site, you can get the services you need without traveling to another location. You do not need to schedule multiple appointments.
