Our Donors

Southern California Medical Center is a federally qualified health center that depends on the support of generous donations from both local organizations and individuals within our community. These donations are essential in enabling us to provide better healthcare services to the people living in our city. Without this support, it would not be feasible to meet the healthcare needs of our community.

Dear Potential Sponsor

Southern California Medical Center is a Non-Profit 501c(3) Community Clinic, which relies heavily on the assistance of generous donations from organizations and members of our community. Without these donations, providing better healthcare services to the residents of our city would not be possible.

Since our organizations relies on the generosity of individuals like yourself, we ask you to consider a donation to our cause of improving the health and wellness of our community. In return, we will put your brand and logo on all marketing materials throughout our variety of events for the entire year and list you on our website/social media sites as an official sponsor and partner of SCMC.

Our non-profit Tax ID is available at your request. Anything you can provide will truly assist us in our mission of creating better healthcare at a low-priced alternative. Anything you provide will also qualify as a write-off for tax purposes. We pray that you will be able to support our efforts.

Thank you in advance for your generosity.

Sincerely,
Sheila Busheri

SCMC Overview

Southern California Medical Center, Inc. is a 501(c)3(charitable) corporation dedicated to bringing health care to the underserved populations of El Monte, Pico Rivera, Pomona, Long Beach, Van Nuys, and Woodland Hills service areas. Currently with six clinic locations, California Medical Center, Inc. provides primary medical care, mental health care, dental care, vision services, chiropractic, physical therapy and orthopedic care. All services are on a sliding fee scale basis. No one is turned away due to inability to pay. Southern California Medical Center, Inc. partners with other community-based organizations and providers to be able to deliver quality healthcare to all patients.

Our History

SCMC’s Chief Medical Officer, Mohammad H. Rasekhi, MD, opened the El Monte health center in 1994 under the original title of Southern California Family Medical Center. A second site was added in Pico Rivera in 1997. Embracing its role as a trusted community healthcare provider for the medically uninsured and disenfranchised populations within its service area, and not wanting to turn anyone away, the for-profit agency expanded its services in 2009, becoming the 501(c)(3) nonprofit it is today, changing its title to Southern California Medical Center.

SCMC’s staffing levels, financial management systems, and quality assurance policies are designed to sufficiently ensure that an appropriate level of support for patients is available daily. SCMC welcomes all residents though it places a particular emphasis on providing healthcare and cultural competencies for the underserved, economically disadvantaged, and largely Latino population, which comprises more than three-quarters (79.8%) of service area residents.
